Economic Development Authority
The EDA works with the Department of Economic Development to carry out the Board of Supervisors’ vision and policies for economic development. This includes business retention and expansion, business attraction and marketing, entrepreneurial development,
workforce development, commercial real estate development and reuse, and communications and outreach.
Terms are four years with a two-term limit. Members are required to take the Oath of Office. Meetings are held at 11:30 a.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Montgomery County Government Center.

Economic Development Commission
The Economic Development Commission acts in an advisory capacity for the purpose of encouraging existing business and industry to expand and solicit new business and industry for the county. The goals of the Commission are to increase jobs and payrolls,
decrease taxes, and increase the standard of living for residents.
Terms are three years with no term limit. Meetings are held at 11:45 a.m. on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Wikiteria Conference Room at the VTCRC.
