Description of Request

A request by Denton and Pamela Gordon for a Special Use Permit (SUP), with possible conditions, on approximately 5.23 acres in an Agricultural (A-1) zoning district to allow an accessory structure exceeding the square footage and/or height of the proposed principal structure per Code Section 10-41(1)(a).  The proposed accessory structure, to be used for vehicle/RV storage and maintenance, has and overall height of 18 ft. and is approximately 6,000 sq. ft. in area.  The primary dwelling has an overall height of 24 ft. and is approximately 2,700 sq. ft. in area. The property is located at 3940 Flatwoods Road, and identified as Tax Parcel No. 032- A 18C (Parcel ID #120571), in the Mount Tabor Magisterial District. The property lies in an area identified as Rural in the Montgomery County Comprehensive Plan.
