In addition, local educational institutions have updated plans and protocols.
Montgomery County Public Schools announced that beginning Mar. 13, 2020, field trips outside of Montgomery County, as well as to Radford University or Virginia Tech have been canceled. Updates regarding MCPS plans and protocols will be made at

Virginia Tech and
Radford University have extended Spring Break and moved to online classes.
New River Community College has also extended Spring Break.
