McCoy Park
McCoy Park is located behind the Long Shop-McCoy Fire Department on the western side of the county. Amenities include a picnic shelter, small and large playground, walking path, youth
baseball/softball field, and open green space.
Get together for a picnic or party under our shelter! An ADA accessible path leads from the parking lot to the shelter and the playground. There is seating available for approximately 60 people across 20 tables. Other amenities include a grill, electrical outlets and lights, and waste receptacles.
The picnic shelter is available on a first come, first serve basis. You may also reserve the picnic shelter. The rental season runs from April 1 – October 31, and we begin taking reservations on January 1. Reservations must be made at least four days in advance. Check current shelter availability and make your reservation online or by calling our office at (540) 382-6975, Option 1.
We offer half day rentals for $30 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. and whole day rentals for $50 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
The small playground features two slides, climbing areas, and a tunnel. It is located next to the picnic shelter.
The large playground features two large tube slides, multiple climbing areas, swings, and more.
Enjoy a game on the youth baseball/softball field!
A walking path encircles the ball field and open green space. The flat terrain is perfect for children's games, playing with the dog, and picnicking. Relax with countryside views just 15 minutes outside the Town of Blacksburg.
From 460, take Price's Fork Road west for 3.8 miles, then right onto McCoy Road for 4.8 miles. The park will be on your right just behind the Long Shop McCoy Fire Department.
