Baseball, Softball, Tee Ball, and Fall Ball

The 2023 Cal Ripken Baseball Clinic is scheduled for Thursday, May 25 from 6 - 9 pm at Motor Mile Park. We will post the registration link here once it is available.
We need football referees, basketball referees, and baseball/softball umpires! We pay $50 per football game, $25 per coach pitch game, $50 per kid pitch game, and $40 per basketball game. Call (540) 382-6975 or email mcpr@montgomerycountyva.gov if interested.
How to Register
Your child must play with the recreation department where they attend school.
We do not have sample uniform sizes. Please pick the best size based on what your child currently wears. We offer the following sizes:
- Youth: Small (6-8), Medium (10-12), Large (14-16)
- Adult: Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL
Your coach will be in contact with you in late March. If you register online, please check that your email address, phone number, and mailing address are up-to-date.

Spring Season Information
- Registration for spring begins in early January
- Spring season runs late March through June
Fall Season Information
- Registration for fall begins July 1
- Fall season runs September through October
- Practices can start August 29, 2022 and are held twice per week. Specific times are up to the coach.
- Games begin in September.
Equipment Information
- Parents need to provide a glove, bat, helmet, cleats, and practice pants.
League Information
Teeball, Coed
Teeball is timeless classic; the sport develops the primary skills of hitting, running, fielding, and throwing. Players will gain an understanding of the fundamental rules of baseball and softball.
Participants must be 4 – 6 years of age as of January 1.
NRV Coach Pitch, Coed
Coach Pitch Baseball and Softball focuses on individual skill development and game understanding in a relaxed and recreational atmosphere.
Participants must be 6 – 8 years of age as of January 1.
The 2021 Montgomery County 10U Baseball All-Stars proudly hold up their district runner-up plaques.
Cal Ripken Baseball
Keeping baseball fun, especially in the early stages of youth baseball, is a primary concern of Babe Ruth League’s Cal Riken Division.
Division Placement is determined by the participant's age as of May 1.

- Minors (ages 8-10)
- Major 70 (ages 11-12)

Babe Ruth Softball
The primary emphasis of Babe Ruth Softball is on education, skill development, participation for all skill levels, and having fun.
Division Placement is determined by the participant's age as of January 1.

Fall Ball
Fall ball is an opportunity to continue working on your baseball or softball skills through the off season.
