3/26/2015 - Looking for fun in the sun that pays?

Montgomery County, Virginia • Parks and Recreation is seeking people who love working with children or people of all ages, and enjoy fun activities outdoors. If a flexible schedule that might even include weekends off and pay for up to 40 hours per week sounds like a job for you, please check out the many positions available starting Memorial Day weekend or later.

If you love the sunshine and water at an outdoor splash park, there are numerous job openings for lifeguards and head lifeguards. If that’s not your thing, friendly gate attendants are also needed.

If you love children and would like weekends free to pursue other activities, playcamp counselors and supervisors are needed to work with small groups of children in grades 1-6. The Frog Hoppers camp is held Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Mid-County Park and the Frog Pond Swimming Pool. Arts, crafts, nature activities, hikes, sports, games and swim time at the pool are sure to make your summer work experience something you will remember forever.

Ready to join in the fun? For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 382-6975. Application forms and registration packets are available online at montva.com/hr.
