NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to § 15.2-3107 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, that on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 7:15 p.m. or as soon thereafter in the Board Room, located on the 2nd Floor of the Montgomery County Government Center located at 755 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg, Virginia, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery, Virginia (“the County”) shall hold a public hearing to hear citizen comments on the Board’s intent to approve a proposed Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement between the Town of Christiansburg and County of Montgomery and will thereafter consider for passage a resolution approving the Agreement.
The Agreement is authorized by § 15.2-3106 et seq. of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, and provides that the boundary line between the Town of Christiansburg and the unincorporated area of the County of Montgomery will be changed by moving approximately 1.084 acres into the incorporated Town of Christiansburg boundary of the County of Montgomery. The proposed boundary adjustment area is located on the southwest boundary of the Town of Christiansburg and the unincorporated area of the County of Montgomery the property being identified as 1.084 acre parcel, Tax Parcel 093-(A)-6, Parcel ID #160135 in the Riner Magisterial District shown more particularly on the plat entitled “EXHIBIT FROM RECORDS SHOWING BOUNDARY LINE ADJUSTMENT OF TAX MAP NUMBER 093-A-6 TO BE RELOCATED FROM MONTGOMERY COUNTY TO BE WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF CHRISTIANSBURG RINER MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT MONTGOMERY COUNTY, VIRGINIA SURVEYED JANUARY 17, 2025”.

True copies of the proposed Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement are on file and may be viewed at the office of the County Administrator, Montgomery County Government Center, 755 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg, Virginia, Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Copies of the Agreement will also be available at the public hearing. The public is invited to attend the public hearing and comment on the Agreement.
