Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 & 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on August 10, 2026 at 7:15 p.m. in the County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Board of Supervisors intention to act on the following Ordinances:
A request by The Towers, LLC, Lessee and John E. Wonderley, Jean M. Wonderley, and Lisa E. Wonderley Forster, Owners for a Special Use Permit to allow a 199-foot overall height wireless telecommunications tower, freestanding. The property is located at 4752 Old Pike Road, near the intersection of Old Pike Road (State Route 615) and Basham Road (State Route 728). The property is further identified as Tax Map 132- A 26 131(A)* (Parcel ID 021247), 124.236 acres, zoned Agricultural (A-1) in the Shawsville Magisterial District. The property currently lies in an area designated as Resource Stewardship in the 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
