Montgomery County will readvertise the Stateson Homes (Fotheringay, LLC) rezoning request due to an omitted parcel reference in the legal advertisement for the October 13, 2026, Board of Supervisors public hearing. A corrected notice will be advertised, and a new public hearing will be scheduled for November 10, 2026.
The omitted parcel was a 47-acre portion of a 60-acre property identified as Tax Map 059 3 57,59, Parcel ID 013683. While this parcel was included in the Planning Commission advertisement and in notifications sent to adjoining property owners, it was inadvertently left out of the legal advertisement for the Board of Supervisors hearing.
The original rezoning request covered 276.66 acres, including the full 60-acre parcel. The developer later amended the request, removing 13 acres from the parcel and resulting in a revised total of 263.50 acres and a proposal for 349 units. Because of this amendment, the remaining 47 acres of the parcel was mistakenly not listed as part of the rezoning in the Board of Supervisors legal advertisement. However, the total acreage (263.50 acres) was advertised correctly prior to the October 13, 2026, public hearing.
To ensure accuracy and transparency, Montgomery County is issuing a corrected legal advertisement and rescheduling the public hearing for November 10, 2026.
Citizens will have the opportunity to comment during the rescheduled public hearing.
This rezoning request will not appear on the October 26, 2026, Board of Supervisors agenda.
