The registration for the 2024 Montgomery-Christiansburg Citizens Academy is now open! The deadline for Christiansburg and Montgomery County residents to register for this free, eight-week course is Aug. 16.

Classes for the academy take place on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m., beginning Sept. 4 and concluding on Oct. 23. 

The course provides a hands-on experience for participants, covering a wide variety of local government functions ranging from police, fire and rescue to tours of the public works facility and animal care and adoption center and much more!
