POW/MIA flags will be flown at full staff on Friday, September 20, and remain until sunset.
From the Office of Governor Glenn Youngkin, the POW/MIA flag will be flown on public buildings on National POW/MIA Recognition Day.
"The POW/MIA flag will be flown at full staff on public buildings on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, Friday, September 20, 2024, in honor and remembrance of the service and sacrifice of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who are or were prisoners of war or reported missing in action, all of whom bravely sacrificed to protect the freedoms we all cherish."
