Family Fun/Run Walk Begins at 9 a.m. at Christiansburg Recreation Center

Montgomery County, Va., is one of only two localities in the Commonwealth of Virginia celebrating 250 years in 2026.

Join us for the MCVA 2.50K Family Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 9 a.m.

The event will begin and end at the Christiansburg Recreation Center.

Participants will complete a 2.50K loop from the Recreation Center along the Huckleberry Trail, with a turnaround at the halfway point.

The first 250 registered participants will receive a commemorative Montgomery County VA250 shirt.

Participants are encouraged to dress in honor of Montgomery County's—and America's—once‑in‑a‑generation 250th anniversary celebration by showing off patriotic pride with creative looks inspired by American history, heritage, and the nation's spirit.
