About the Commissioner

Brenda H. Winkle is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. She lived in Christiansburg marrying her husband Terry, who sadly passed away on November 2, 2023. She lives in Riner, where she and Terry raised their two children on the Winkle Dairy Farm. She is a proud grandmother of four wonderful grandchildren.

Brenda worked in the Commissioner’s Office for 23 years prior to being elected to her first term as Commissioner, which began January 1, 2024.
