Enjoy programs catering to adults ages 50 and up! We offer arts and crafts, games, music, special presentations, picnics, socials, and more. See what's out there by signing up for our many trips and tours. We offer a wealth of activities to encourage
life enrichment through engagement in social and physical activity, while taking a trip off the beaten path.
Parks and Recreation offers youth athletics in the Auburn, Eastern Montgomery, and Prices Fork areas of the county. We approach recreational sports with the belief that emphasis should be placed on educational and social benefits, rather than competition.
Ultimately, it is our goal to ensure that every participant receives an enjoyable and lasting recreation experience in a safe and positive environment.
Partake in a variety of educational programs for youth and adults. These programs include Frog Hoppers Summer Camp, Bob Ross painting classes, hunter education, Medicare seminars, boating safety classes and more!

The Frog Pond is a great place to hang out and relax during the summer. Our aquatic programs and lessons are Red Cross Certified and designed to help the participant grow as a swimmer. The pool has a zero-depth entry for those wanting to ease into
the water, and a maximum depth of eight feet for those who want to make a splash and jump right in!

Outdoor Programs
Enjoy the natural resources of Southwest Virginia by joining Montgomery County Parks and Recreation on an outdoor adventure! We offer programs including raft tours, kayaking, rock climbing, zip line, snow tubing, and more. Find information about our annual
