Baseball, Softball, Tee Ball, and Fall Ball

 

General Information

Montgomery County Parks and Recreation provides baseball, softball, tee ball, and fall ball to residents of the Auburn and Eastern Montgomery school districts. Registration for the spring starts in early January, and the season runs from March - June. Registration for the fall starts July 1, and the season runs from September - October. 

 

Spring 2021 Updates

We are currently taking registrations for baseball, softball, and tee ball!

Register at our office or over the phone by Friday, March 12 at 5 p.m.

Register online by Sunday, March 14 at 11:59 p.m.

 

Please note that players must provide their own equipment including batting helmets, gloves, cleats, water bottles, etc. No equipment can be shared. 

All parents, fans, and spectators must physically distance and wear a mask while at our parks.

 

Practices are anticipated to start the weekend of March 27, however this may change. Games schedules are to be determined.

Coaches will contact participants with specific dates and times once the registration deadline has passed and teams are made.

 

Anyone interested in coaching should contact us as soon as possible, due to changes with the certification process.

Start Smart, Coed - CANCELLED FOR SPRING 2021

smart-start-baseballCreated by National Alliance for Youth Sports, this program helps kids get ready for sports and succeed in life.  This is an educational program that focuses on teaching baseball/softball fundamentals. You will participate with your child during this five-week program.

Participants must be 4 – 5 years of age.


Tee ball, Coed

Tee ball is timeless classic; the sport develops the primary skills of hitting, running, fielding, and throwing. Players will gain an understanding of the fundamental rules of baseball and softball.

Participants must be 4 – 6 years of age as of January 1.

Registration begins in early January and the season runs from March - June.

 

NRV Coach Pitch, Coed

Coach Pitch Baseball and Softball focuses on individual skill development and game understanding in a relaxed and recreational atmosphere.

Participants must be 7 – 8 years of age as of January 1.

Registration begins in early January and the season runs from March - June.

 

Cal Ripken Baseball

cal-ripken-baseballKeeping baseball fun, especially in the early stages of youth baseball, is a primary concern of Babe Ruth League’s Cal Riken Division.

Division Placement is determined by the participant's age as of May 1.

Registration begins in early January and the season runs from March - June.

  • Major 70 (ages 11-12)

 

Babe Ruth Softball

babe-ruth-softballThe primary emphasis of Babe Ruth Softball is on education skill development, participation for all skill levels, and having fun.

Division Placement is determined by the participant's age as of January 1.

Registration begins in early January and the season runs from March - June.

Fall Ball

Fall ball is an opportunity to continue working on your baseball or softball skills through the off season. Registration starts July 1 and the season runs from September - October.
